General travel conditions

These travel conditions apply to flights marketed and sold by Skåne Aviation to consumers. The travel conditions form, together with your booking and booking confirmation (including electronic ticket), the agreement between you as a passenger and Skåne Aviation. By making a booking, you accept these terms.

1. Scope of the Agreement and Applicable Law

These travel conditions regulate:

  • transport of passengers and luggage
  • booking, rebooking, cancellation, and refunds
  • liability in case of delays, canceled flights, and other irregularities

The conditions apply in addition to applicable legislation, including, among others:

  • Aviation Act (2010:500)
  • EU Regulation (EC) No 261/2004 on passenger rights
  • EU Regulation (EC) No 1107/2006 on assistance to persons with reduced mobility
  • Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council (GDPR)
  • Montreal Convention 1999

These travel conditions shall be interpreted and applied in accordance with Swedish law.

2. Booking and Ticket

The airline ticket is personal and only valid for the passenger specified in the booking.

The passenger is responsible for:

  • providing correct personal and contact details
  • holding the required identification and necessary travel documents
The booking is considered completed when the booking confirmation and electronic ticket have been sent via email.

3. Ticket Prices, Taxes, and Fees

The ticket price refers to transport between the specified departure and destination airports unless otherwise expressly stated.

The ticket price may include:

  • base price
  • taxes and governmental fees
  • airport fees
  • additional services

Taxes and fees charged by authorities or airport operators may change even after booking, to the extent permitted by law.

 

Payment must occur according to the payment options provided at booking. The booking is not confirmed until full payment is received.

4. Connecting Travel and Separate Tickets

When booking a connected journey, Skåne Aviation is responsible for transportation to the final destination in accordance with applicable regulations.

In the event of a delay or cancelled flight resulting in a missed connection:

  • rebooking to the next available departure will be offered
  • assistance will be provided in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 261/2004

Separate Tickets

If flights are booked on separate tickets, each ticket constitutes a separate contract.

In the case of separate bookings, Skåne Aviation is only responsible for the respective leg of the journey.

The passenger is solely responsible for allowing sufficient time between flights.

5. Timetables and Changes

Published timetables are preliminary and subject to change.
Skåne Aviation reserves the right to:

  • change departure and arrival times
  • cancel flights
  • use another aircraft or another operator

In the event of material changes, the passenger will be informed using the contact details provided.

6. Check-in and Boarding

The passenger is responsible for arriving on time for check-in and boarding in accordance with the specified times.

Passengers who fail to present themselves within the specified times may be denied carriage in accordance with the conditions of the selected ticket.

7. Denied Boarding and Rules of Conduct

Skåne Aviation may deny carriage or remove passengers if required in order to:

  • comply with the law or decisions by public authorities
  • ensure flight safety
  • maintain order on board
  • protect passengers or crew

Carriage may also be denied if the passenger:

  • is under the influence of alcohol or drugs
  • behaves in a threatening or disruptive manner
  • refuses security screening
  • is unable to prove their identity

As a general rule, such situations do not entitle the passenger to a refund, except as required by mandatory law.

8. Right of Withdrawal and Open Purchase

Airline tickets are not subject to a statutory right of withdrawal under the Swedish Distance Contracts Act.

Any possibility of rebooking or refund is governed by the selected ticket type.

9. Overbooking

Skåne Aviation may, in accordance with applicable regulations, apply overbooking.

In the event of denied boarding, passenger rights under Regulation (EC) No 261/2004 shall apply.

10. Delays and Cancelled Flights

In the event of delays or cancelled flights, Regulation (EC) No 261/2004 shall apply.

Financial compensation shall not be payable in the event of extraordinary circumstances that the airline could not have avoided even if all reasonable measures had been taken.

Extraordinary circumstances may include:

  • natural disasters — storms, heavy snowfall, fog, volcanic ash
  • political unrest — war or war-like situations
  • strikes outside the company’s control
  • failure by third parties to perform work (e.g. ground handling staff, security staff, catering providers)
  • strikes by airport staff or public authority personnel
  • security threats — terrorism, sabotage, bomb threats, cyberattacks
  • epidemics/pandemics — public authority decisions related to disease control
  • technical faults arising despite proper and prescribed maintenance
  • sudden operational restrictions imposed by an airport or public authority
  • airspace closures, ATC restrictions (air traffic control decisions), slot restrictions (take-off/landing permissions)
  • infrastructure disruptions — airport power failures, IT system failures affecting suppliers or public authorities, communication failures
  • government and authority-related decisions — new regulations or immediate official directives, border closures, quarantine rules, or other restrictions

11. Rebooking, Cancellation and Refunds

Conditions for rebooking and refunds depend on the selected ticket type.

Some tickets may be wholly or partly non-refundable.

Refunds shall be made to the payment method originally used, to the extent that a refund is permitted under the ticket type and applicable law.

12. Baggage

Rules regarding cabin baggage and checked baggage are provided at the time of booking.

Liability for lost, damaged or delayed baggage is governed by the Montreal Convention, including its limitations of liability.

Skåne Aviation is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, to the extent permitted by law.

13. Special Needs and Assistance

Passengers requiring assistance must inform Skåne Aviation no later than 48 hours before departure.

Assistance is provided in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 1107/2006.

14. Minors

Rules regarding travel by minors and unaccompanied children are provided at the time of booking.

15. Other Travel-Related Services

Services booked through external providers constitute separate agreements with the respective provider and are not covered by the Package Travel Act, unless otherwise stated.

16. Complaints and Disputes

Complaints must be submitted without undue delay via Skåne Aviation’s customer service.

In the event of a dispute, the passenger may refer the matter to the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (ARN) or a competent Swedish court.

17. Personal Data

Skåne Aviation processes personal data in accordance with the GDPR and applicable data protection legislation.

Processing takes place, among other things, in order to:

  • carry out booking and transportation
  • comply with legal obligations
  • manage special service requirements
  • comply with public authority requirements

18. Health Requirements and Medical Conditions

Passengers are responsible for being medically fit to travel.
Medical certificates may be required for certain medical conditions.
Pregnant travellers (week limits + certificate).

19. Carriage of Animals – Dogs and Cats

The carriage of dogs and cats is permitted in the cabin provided that the animal fits in an approved pet carrier.

Maximum dimensions for the carrier: 40 x 25 x 23 cm
Maximum weight: 8 kg including the animal and the carrier

The carrier must be placed under the seat in front of the passenger during the flight.

The animal must be able to stand up, turn around, and lie down comfortably in the carrier.

20. Carriage of Dangerous Goods and Prohibited Items

Items that may not be brought on board (e.g. lithium batteries, weapons, explosive substances).
Reference is made to the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations.

21. Operating Air Carrier

All flights marketed by Skåne Aviation are operated by Frost Air ApS, which holds a valid AOC in accordance with applicable legislation.
