Here we have gathered answers to the most common questions about your journey with us. Whether you have questions about booking, baggage, check-in, rebooking, or special needs, we hope you quickly find the information you are looking for. Assistance and special needs
You are warmly welcome to travel with us during most of the pregnancy. For your and the child's safety, the following applies:
It is fine to fly with us until week 36 if the pregnancy is uncomplicated. A medical certificate is required after week 28.
Here is the form required after week 28
If you have a serious physical or mental illness, or have recently undergone treatment or surgery, you need to submit a medical certificate to us so that we can ensure a safe trip.
In order for us to prepare the best possible assistance, we recommend that you request assistance at least 48 hours before departure. This can be done at the time of booking or by contacting our customer service.
If you are traveling with a wheelchair or other mobility aid, need support with mobility, or have language and hearing impairments, we offer free assistance from check-in to boarding because we want your journey to feel safe.
In order for us to prepare the best possible help, we recommend that you request assistance at least 48 hours before departure. This can be done at the time of booking or by contacting our customer service.
Before the trip, you need to be able to handle the following tasks on your own:

Fasten and unbuckle the seatbelt

Make your way to the emergency exit without assistance

Retrieve and use the life jacket and oxygen mask

Follow the crew's safety briefing

Eat, take medication, use the toilet, and communicate without help
If you need assistance with any of the above, you need to travel with a companion who can act as a personal safety or care assistant.
We recommend that you plan for extra time on your travel day. Upon arrival at the airport, please contact our staff at the check-in desk and we will assist you further.
We work to make air travel accessible for everyone. Depending on the destination, you are covered by different regulations that protect your rights as a traveler with a disability.
Cancellation, rebooking, and refund
If you need to change the date or time of your trip, you can often do so directly via My trips. Any price difference between the tickets will apply, as well as a rescheduling fee depending on the ticket's rules.
• Regular tickets can be rebooked up to 1 hour before departure.
Would you rather have assistance? Contact our customer service – we are happy to help you. Please note that a service fee may apply for rebooking via phone or chat.
If upgrades are available, you can add them via My Trips.
If you need to cancel your trip, you can do so directly via My trips. The refund is based on the ticket's rules.
If you cancel yourself:

refund will occur according to the ticket's terms
-
refund will be made to the same payment method used for the purchase
-
most taxes and fees are refundable
-
service fees and additional services are non-refundable
In case of rebooking or name change, fees may apply depending on the ticket's rules. You can always see what applies to your ticket when you log in to My Trips.
You can rebook most tickets up to 1 hour before departure.
If the new flight costs more than your original ticket, you will pay the difference. Any rebooking fees may also apply depending on the ticket rules.
Do you need to change the name on the ticket? No problem. You can change the name on an unused ticket, or transfer it to another traveler. The only thing we can't change is the type of traveler (e.g., from child to adult). Contact our customer service no later than 1 hour before departure so we can help you.
Baggage
If something happens to your luggage, we want you to feel secure.
If your luggage does not arrive:
- Report it immediately at the airport
- You will receive a reference number (PIR)
- We will keep you updated until the luggage is returned
If your luggage is damaged:
- Report the damage within 7 days
If the luggage is not found:
- After 21 days, it is considered lost
- We will assist you with compensation according to applicable regulations

Traveling with children
We want to make it simple and affordable to travel as a family. That is why we offer the following:
Infants (0–2 years) - Travel for free.
Children (2–11 years) - Receive a 25% discount when traveling with an adult (at least 16 years old).
Our service for unaccompanied minors is available for all children between 5 and 17 years old.
- For children aged 5–11, the service is mandatory.
- For children aged 12–17, the service is optional but recommended if the child is traveling for the first time or needs extra support.

Traveling with animals
You can bring a small dog or cat that is at least 8 weeks old. The pet must fit in an approved bag or crate that can be placed under the seat in front of you. The maximum weight is 8 kg, including the bag or crate.
Service dogs are always welcome on board and travel free of charge with us.
The bag or carrier must have soft sides, be fully sealable, well-ventilated, and bite and leak-proof.
Max dimensions: 40 × 25 × 23 cm
Max weight: 8 kg including the pet
If the requirements are not met, boarding may unfortunately be denied.
Only one bag or carrier per traveler is allowed. Up to two healthy pets of the same breed can travel in the same bag. The bag or carrier is counted as hand luggage. The pet must be fully weaned and pets under 14 weeks need a veterinary certificate.
Throughout the flight, the pet must remain in the bag or carrier and be able to stand, turn around, and lie comfortably.
We recommend that you arrive at the airport at least one hour before departure.

Special luggage
Stroller
-
Infants (0–2 years): 1 stroller can be checked in at no cost
-
Children over 2 years: stroller counts as one piece of checked luggage
The stroller:
-
must be foldable
-
must not weigh more than 20 kg
-
must be submitted as special baggage
-
must not contain any other luggage
The stroller must be packed in protective packaging, e.g., PramPack, Airshells, or equivalent. Plastic bags only protect against dirt and are not considered sufficient protection.
Car seat
Infants (0–2 years) can bring a car seat as checked baggage at no cost. If you would like to take the car seat into the cabin, the child must have their own seat.
Please note that car seats are generally unsuitable for transport in the aircraft's cargo hold, even if they are packaged. When transported as checked baggage, our liability is therefore limited.
Bicycles can be taken on our flights, but are not included in the baggage allowance and must be booked separately.
The bicycle must be packed in:

hard bicycle case, or
-
padded bicycle transport packaging (e.g., bicycle suitcase or bicycle bag)
If the bicycle is not packed in an approved special packaging, it will only be accepted on a space-available basis, which means it may be sent on a later departure.
Preparation for transport

The pedals must be removed

The handlebars must be turned inward towards the frame

The chain and hubs must be covered

We recommend letting some air out of the tires to reduce the risk of damage
Diving equipment is counted as checked baggage, provided that weight and size limits are maintained.
Diving equipment is defined as:

safety or buoyancy vest
Pre-registration is not required if the equipment stays within the allowed limits.
A golf bag can hold:

up to 14 golf clubs

12 golf balls

a pair of golf shoes
Golf equipment is considered special baggage and must be booked separately.
Weapons are never included in the baggage allowance and must always be booked as special luggage.
Important to keep in mind:

the weapon must always be presented at check-in
-
valid weapon license is required
-
the weapon must be unloaded
-
bolt and ammunition must be packed separately
-
ammunition must be in original packaging or equivalent protection
-
max 5 kg ammunition per person
-
ammunition must not be packed together with the weapon

If you are traveling with weapons to or from the United Kingdom, special permission is required in advance.
Musical instruments that exceed the maximum dimensions for cabin baggage (55 × 40 × 20 cm) must be checked in and packed in a hard case.
Instruments that exceed the allowed weight or size for checked baggage may incur an overweight fee.
Instruments in the cabin
It is possible to bring instruments into the cabin if:

an extra seat is purchased
-
maximum weight is 75 kg
-
maximum dimensions are 120 × 30 × 45 cm
-
the instrument can be secured with a seatbelt
-
it does not extend above the back of the seat
You can bring one or two pieces of ski equipment, with a total maximum weight of 20 kg. Skis are not included in the regular baggage quota and must be booked and paid for separately.
One set of ski equipment can include:

a pair of ski boots or snowboard boots
