Your rights in case of delays and canceled departures
Your rights in case of delays and cancellations
When you travel with Skåne Aviation, you should feel safe even if something unexpected happens. Below is a clear and structured overview of your rights according to EU Regulation 261/2004 and the guidelines from the Consumer Agency.
Compensation for delays
You may be entitled to compensation if you arrive at your final destination at least three hours later than planned. It is always the arrival time at the final destination that is decisive. However, compensation is not paid in the event of extraordinary circumstances, such as severe weather, security risks, or airspace restrictions.
Compensation for cancelled flights
If your flight is cancelled and you are informed less than 14 days before departure, and the rebooking means that you arrive at least two hours later than the original time, you may be entitled to compensation. No compensation is paid in the event of extraordinary circumstances.
Right to care (food, drink, hotel)
Regardless of the reason for the disruption, you have the right to care if the wait time becomes long. Skåne Aviation offers food and drinks as well as hotel and transport if necessary. If care cannot be provided in time, you may be reimbursed for reasonable and necessary expenses upon presenting a receipt.
Right to a refund
If your flight is delayed by more than five hours, you have the right to cancel the trip and receive a refund of the ticket cost. The refund should be made within seven days.
What is not covered by EU regulations
EU261 does not cover lost income, missed events, lost hotel nights at the destination, rental cars that could not be used, or other private subsequent costs.
