Assistance/Special needs
At Skåne Aviation, we want all travelers to feel safe and well taken care of – regardless of their needs.
Medical needs and health before the trip
At Skåne Aviation, we want you to feel safe and well taken care of throughout your journey. If you have medical needs, have recently been ill, or require special support on board, we always recommend that you consult your doctor before booking, especially if your condition may affect your ability to travel.
When do you need medical approval?
In certain situations, we need to receive a medical certificate to ensure that you can travel safely. This applies, for example, if you:
- are in a late stage of pregnancy
- are traveling to receive medical treatment
- have an unstable medical condition
- have recently been ill, injured, hospitalized, or operated on
Important about health status
You are warmly welcome to travel with us during most of the pregnancy. For your and the child's safety, the following applies:
It is fine to fly with us until week 36 if the pregnancy is uncomplicated. A medical certificate is required after week 28.
Here is the form required after week 28
If you have a serious physical or mental illness, or have recently undergone treatment or surgery, you need to submit a medical certificate to us so that we can ensure a safe trip.
Reduced mobility, traveling with a wheelchair or has reduced vision & hearing
If you are traveling with a wheelchair or other mobility aid, need support with mobility, or have speech and hearing impairments, we offer free assistance from check-in to boarding because we want your journey to feel safe.

Before the trip, you need to be able to manage the following tasks on your own:
-
Fasten and unbuckle the seatbelt
-
Make your way to the emergency exit without assistance
-
Retrieve and use the life jacket and oxygen mask
-
Follow the crew's safety briefing
-
Eat, take medication, use the toilet, and communicate without help
If you need assistance with any of the above, you need to travel with a companion who can act as a personal safety or care assistant.
We recommend that you plan for extra time on your travel day. Upon arrival at the airport, please contact our staff at the check-in desk and we will assist you further.
We are working to make air travel accessible for everyone. Depending on the destination, you are covered by different regulations that protect your rights as a traveler with a disability.
